We head to Tamworth tomorrow racing on a soft 5. The rail is out 5m which has historically brought a lot of on pace winners early in the day.

Tamworth Race 2 – Famous

Last start at the 1400 boxed on well but was caught late carrying 60. Did work overtime early and swoopers came late on the better part of the track. Better effort than form shows. Both prior efforts, went back from a wide gate and hit the line well over the 1100m.

At 1400 for the second time this prep and finally draws a good gate. His on pace running style and barrier suit the profile with the highest SR at this distance with the current rail. Waddel’s claim is utilised to get a 2.5kg weight relief off that last effort.

Tamworth Race 3 – Vanbari

Last start boxed on well to finish 2nd here carrying 57.5kg. Was undone by wild moon who found himself on the better part of the track late. Placed 3/3 since let up over this distance. Been knocking on the door.  Runs well when he finds the lead.

Draws well and should take up the running comfortably here. McLellan retains the ride. Gets a couple favours here over similar rated runners.
