Wednesday Metropolitan racing in Victoria heads to Ballarat for 7 races with the first to commence at 1:35pm local time. We’ve got a handful of maidens to kick off proceedings followed by benchmark races to finish the day.
The track is currently rated a Soft 5. Victorian’s are set for a warm day with tops of 24 degrees! There’s no rain forecasted over the next 24 hours which should allow this surface to dry out.
The rail is out 5m for this meeting. Traditionally, with this set up, the track plays fairly with horses and jockeys being able to make their runs from either the front or behind. All races appear to be pace dependent. As always, watch and assess for any changes.
