The favourite is going to start in the red here and looks hard to beat but another runner slightly over my price is Ready To Ride. Thought the last start win of this horse was super, she ran time from the breeze and was super strong late. Always a little wary of horses that win well at big prices being able to reproduce but she maps for a very similar run in transit here and I’m happy to follow up. Marked $3.80 so we will have something small on at the $4.40 currently available, may even be able to get longer late if the money comes for the fav.

1st up for a new, very much in-form stable here, 2 lead in trials have been terrific. Finds a race where he should be able to find the fence in his very much favoured role of dictating from the top. Has got form from last prep around horses that are stronger than these and think he looks very hard to beat so we’ll make him my best of the day.

Clear 2nd pick and danger in the race is topweight Lordhelpmerun. His best form is far better than this field and he is also 1st up for a new stable that specialises in revitalising tried horses, loved the recent trial, gets Johnston-Porter in the saddle and think he can definitely run into the money.

Thought Winifer was travelling into the race super last start before being completely stopped in her tracks, think she would have been in the finish there and can get a nice trial 3 back the fence here and wait for that cutaway.

Also really loved the effort of Chuck A Luck who looks ready to win, don’t actually mind the draw for a natural get-back horse, will keep him off the fence and if Brad Parnham can find the back of the right horse horse to take him into it on straightening, he’s been bursting to win a race of this nature and think he is more than capable.
