FOXY CLEO SET FOR CRANBOURNE CUP
November 24, 2023

THE in-form Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young stable are looking to make it two Cranbourne Cup wins in a row and they believe they have the right horse to do that in Foxy Cleopatra.
Busuttin and Young were the equal leading trainers in terms of winners over the Flemington carnival with a haul of three.

Busuttin said they had a big opinion of Foxy Cleopatra who resumed from over a year off with a second at Flemington to Skew Wiff over 1400m where she was beaten in a photo.
“She’s a very smart mare and she should be hard to beat in the Cranbourne Cup,” Busuttin told Racing.Com.
Foxy Cleopatra hadn’t started since she finished seventh in the VRC Oaks on November 3, 2022.
“She went amiss in last year’s VRC Oaks where she did a suspensory. We’ve taken our time getting her back and it was a great first-up run at Flemington where she should have won,” Busuttin said.
Last year they dominated Cranbourne Cup day winning three races.
Foxy Cleopatra is $4 favourite with PlayUp for the Cranbourne Cup.
