Four trades leading up to the 2025 NFL trade deadline

The 2025 National Football League trade deadline is Tuesday. There have been four NFL trades recently. Let’s see who has been on the move.  All four trades involve defensive players.

1) Browns trade cornerback Greg Newsome II to Jaguars for cornerback Tyson Campbell.

The Cleveland Browns traded cornerback Greg Newsome II of Chicago, Illinois to the Jacksonville Jaguars for cornerback Tyson Campbell of Plantation, Florida on October 9. In addition to Newsome II, the Jaguars received a sixth round pick in 2026. In addition to Campbell, the Browns received a seventh round pick in 2026.

Newsome II is joining his second NFL franchise. In seven games this season (five with Cleveland and two with Jacksonville), he has 25 combined tackles (20 solo tackles and five assisted tackles), three pass deflections and two tackles for a loss.

Campbell is joining his second NFL franchise. In eight games this season (five with Jacksonville and three with Cleveland), he has 46 combined tackles (28 solo tackles and 18 assisted tackles), one tackle for a loss, one quarterback hit, two forced fumbles, 10 pass deflections, one interception for a touchdown, that turned into a pick six for 34 yards.

Campbell’s tackle for a loss came in a 26-10 Jaguars win over the Carolina Panthers on September 7. His 34 yard interception return for a touchdown came in a 31-6 Browns win over the Miami Dolphins on October 19.

2) Titans trade cornerback Roger McCreary to Rams.

The Tennessee Titans traded cornerback Roger McCreary of Mobile, Alabama to the Los Angeles Rams with a sixth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for a fifth round pick in 2026 on Monday. This season with the Titans, McCreary has 33 combined tackles (21 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), one interception, two pass deflections, one sack, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit.



3) Patriots trade defensive end Keion White to 49ers.

The New England Patriots traded defensive end Keion White of Garner, North Carolina to the San Francisco 49ers with a seventh round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for a sixth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. White has six tackles this season (two solo tackles and four assisted tackles) in five games.


4) Patriots trade safety Kyle Dugger to Steelers.

On Wednesday, the Patriots traded safety Kyle Dugger (pictured above) of Decatur, Georgia to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are struggling defensively. In seven games this season, he has 17 combined tackles (10 assisted tackles and seven solo tackles).
