Top 10
As always, there isn’t a lot of value on offer in this market but we have found a couple of drivers that can make bank and hopefully anchor some profit.
Alonso was impressive in Austria and looked to bring that form to Britain with a solid performance in the sprint qualifying and for him to be paying $1.62 to finish in the top 10 (starting 7th) on a track that is notoriously hard to overtake on is ridiculous!
The F1 legend will be making his car as wide as possible and your basically just betting on him to finish the race because the top 10 should be sweet.
Vettel had no luck in the final stages of the Austrian GP but we’re backing him in to finish in the top 10 here. He was stuck behind Alonso late in the Sprint Quali which held him up so we’re confident he can justify the $1.53 price.
- 250 units Vettel to finish top 10 @ $1.53 –Â (potential profit =Â $132)
- 200 units Alonso to finish top 10 @ $1.62 –Â (potential profit =Â $124)
Market outlay = 450 units ($450)
Top 6
This will have to be another banker market with little value on offer.
Ricciardo seems to have found his groove with a solid qualifying and then managed to finish 6th in the Sprint after being stuck behind Alonso early in the session.
- 250 units Ricciardo @ $1.67 – (potential profit = $167.50)
Fastest Lap
This is probably the most interesting market to us with tyre wear being a major issue in Sprint Qualifying.
Verstappen and Hamilton both looked to have serious blistering despite carrying a lower fuel load. This may cause them to manage their tyres in the middle to late stages of the race which may leave the fastest lap open for a longshot to take.
We have to look for a driver that will be in the top 10 and in a space to allow them to fit fresh boots late in the race and attack the fastest lap.
Bottas was 6 seconds off hamilton in Sprint Qualifying and has the pace to break away from Leclerc so we will mark him as one but we also want to have something cheeky on Vettel and Norris at stupid odds
- 300 units Bottas @ $5 – (potential profit = $1,075)
- 100 units Norris @ $34 – (potential profit = $2,975)
- 25 units Vettel @ $251 – (potential profit = $5,850)
*Profit worked out on both bets combined
Market outlay = 425 units ($425)

Race Winner
This has probably been the most difficult race to call with the sessions going back and forward between Hamilton & Verstappen.
Mercedes gave Hamilton a handful of upgrades which looked to do the job in qualifying and if he can get the start that Verstappen got from the second spot on the grid he can give this a shake.
- 200 units Hamilton @ $2.50 –Â (potential profit = $300)
Market outlay = 200 units ($200)
Winning Margin
With tyre wear being an issue in this race, it will be difficult to sit close and stay there during this race so the 6 seconds to 10.999 seconds looks a great bet.
- 250 units 6 seconds to 10.999 seconds @ $5 – (potential profit = $1,000)
Market outlay = 250 units ($250)
Staking Plan
- 250 units Vettel to finish top 10 @ $1.53 –Â (potential profit =Â $132)
- 200 units Alonso to finish top 10 @ $1.62 –Â (potential profit =Â $124)
- 250 units Ricciardo @ $1.67 – (potential profit = $167.50)
- 300 units Bottas @ $5 – (potential profit = $1,075)
- 100 units Norris @ $34 – (potential profit = $2,975)
- 25 units Vettel @ $251 – (potential profit = $5,850)
- 200 units Hamilton @ $2.50 –Â (potential profit = $300)
- 250 units 6 seconds to 10.999 seconds @ $5 – (potential profit = $1,000)
Total race outlay = 1,575 units ($1,575)
Highest Potential Profit = $7,573.50
