Trainer Graeme Begg is confident Dosh can run a big race in the fillies Blue Diamond Preview today.
Begg knows a thing or two about training a Blue Diamond horse after training the 2018 winner Written By.
“She’s right up there with the best two-year-old’s I’ve had,” said Begg.
“We’re very happy to have her in the race tomorrow, another stepping stone, we’ll just find out where she’s at but she couldn’t have done anymore to please us.”
Dosh was able to win on debut down the Flemington straight however almost gave it away after laying out in the concluding stages of the race.
“I think she just got lost, to be truthful she didn’t have any experience going up the straight
“She only had one jump out under the belt going into her first up one so she was pretty inexperienced.”
Begg concedes favourite Frost Flowers will be hard to beat with fitness on the side of the Godolphin galloper.
“She [Frost Flowers] looks a precocious type, obviously got a little more residual fitness than us
“We’re first up since early November, our filly has a fair bit of improvement to come.”
Frost Flowers is currently the $2.10 favourite with Dosh on the second line of betting at $4.20.
In the Colts and Geldings division the Ellerton and Zahra trained General Beau is the early favourite at $3.70.
