The Washington Commanders have signed cornerback Rasul Douglas of Orange, New Jersey according to the Associated Press on Monday. The terms of the contract are for one year and worth $3.8 million.

The Commanders will be Douglas’s sixth National Football League franchise. He previously played three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2017 to 2019, one season with the Carolina Panthers in 2020, three seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2021 to 2023, two seasons with the Buffalo Bills from 2023 to 2024, and one season with the Miami Dolphins in 2025.

In 2025, Douglas had 62 combined tackles (37 solo tackles and 25 assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, two interceptions for 43 yards, 13 pass deflections, one forced fumble and one sack. The two interceptions in 2025 came in Dolphins wins in back-to-back weeks. The first was for 38 yards and came in a 21-17 Dolphins win over the New Orleans Saints on November 30, and the second was for five yards and came in a 34-10 Dolphins win over the New York Jets on December 7.



In Douglas’s career, he has 503 combined tackles (393 solo tackles and 110 assisted tackles), 25 tackles for a loss, five quarterback hits, 21 interceptions for 251 yards, three pick sixes, 92 pass deflections, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries for two yards and three sacks. In his rookie season, Douglas won the Super Bowl. He was part of the Eagles team that beat the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
