Wyndham Clark of Denver, Colorado won his fourth career PGA Tour event on Sunday. He accomplished the feat by winning the 2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Dallas, Texas.
What Clark achieved over the last four days, especially in the final round, was simply extraordinary. He posted a 72-hole score of -30, and a fourth round score of -11.
Clark’s score of -30 was the best score in 2026 by three strokes. Scottie Scheffler of Ridgewood, New Jersey had a score of -27 when he won the American Express Championship in January, and Si-Woo Kim of Seoul, South Korea had a four round score of -27 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, when he finished in second place to Clark over the weekend.
The Sunday score of 60 by Clark was noteworthy too. This was tied for the lowest round in 2026. The other three golfers to shoot 60 were Blades Brown of Nashville, Tennessee (second round at the American Express), Andrew Putnam of Tacoma, Washington (second round at the American Express), and Kim (second round at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson).
In Dallas this past weekend, Clark had a first round score of five-under-par 66, a second round score of eight-under-par 63, and a third round score of six-under-par 65.
Clark had two eagles in the tournament. The first came on the par-five ninth hole in round three, and the second came on the par-five 12th hole in round four. In the third round eagle, Clark had a 307 yard tee shot, 205 yard approach shot, and a five foot, 10 inch birdie shot. In the fourth round eagle, Clark had a 296 yard tee shot, 245 yard approach shot, and a 15 foot, five inch birdie shot.
Clark’s first PGA title came at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina. That was followed by wins at the 2023 United States Open in Los Angeles, California and the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
