Black Book: Horses You Must Follow From Warwick Farm 6/5

The replays and sectionals have been reviewed from Wednesday’s Warwick Farm meeting. Our analyst has black booked a 2yo that rattled home in the inferior going and an impressive Waterhouse/Bott filly that looks to have black type about her in the future.

La Barrita

The McEvoy 2yo filly was sensational going back from the wide draw before being caught on heels at the rear on the turn. When she finally saw clear running at the 200m she rocketed down the outside to finish 0.4L 3rd. The run had extra merit considering close to the rail up the straight was the place to be. She will be breaking her maiden very soon.

Loera

The Waterhouse/Bott filly was the most impressive winner on the day, leading all the way for a dominant 2.1L in the last at Warwick Farm. She recorded slick time going 0.17s quicker than the boys in the previous race. Tim Clark stated post race that she is highly talented but does still have improvement to come when she strengthens up. She looks to be a future black type winner.
