The replays and sectionals have been reviewed from Saturday’s Rosehill meeting. Our analyst has black booked two winners that relished the wet ground and won with authority.
Tron Bolt
The well-supported Waller 2yo was an impressive winner of the 1300m opener settling 2nd last and having a lot to do at the top of the straight. He showed a strong range of gears motoring down Cormier to go on for a big 1.8L win with a 1.6L gap back to 3rd. He looks like a nice 1600m type and ticks the wet track box.
Stardeel
It was a pretty watch for those that followed in at the big odds on Friday. He settled off midfield and on a 3-wide line with cover before showing quick acceleration at the top of the straight. He looked nothing but the winner from the 300m going on to score a 1L victory recording a 0.21s quicker time than the fillies and mares in the same grade 2 races earlier. He was 1st up and will no doubt improve into his prep. I’m not sure if I want to have the same confidence on a dry track but this is the perfect time of year for him as we know he ploughs through the wet.
