Race 3 – 7 Blaze Seven
This mare from the John O’Shea yard caught the eye in a recent Randwick trial when she was restrained to the tail of the field and stormed down the outside to win by 1.3L. She finds a suitable maiden event here where there looks to be enough speed for her to be able to produce a similar finish and she has a second placing on a soft track on her debut in New Zealand.
Tip: 2 Units Win Blaze Seven @ $4.6 Â With TopSport
Race 6 – 7 Eleven Eleven
This 4yo gelding is flying this preparation. Trainer Greg Hickman declared he may need the run first-up when he was ridden upside down from the outside gate and faded to finish 2.7L away in 6th. He settled at the rear and was too strong late winning the Magic Millions 3 & 4yo at Wyong last start. The handicapper gives him 5kg relief for a Listed race here that doesn’t look any stronger. He will have to contend with the outside barrier again but Keegan Latham will have the option of being carted across with Discharged and may lob one out one back.Â
Tip: 2 Units Win Eleven Eleven @ $4.4 With TopSport
