Rosehill Race 6 – Maranoa

This Waterhouse/Bott trained gelding was impressive winning the Wagga Guineas in his 2nd race start and looks to have found an easy race stepping up to 2000m against his own age.

If anyone can have a horse fit enough to win over 2000m in it’s 3rd race start it’s the great Gai Waterhouse. He should roll straight to the front and be hard to run down in typical Waterhouse fashion.

Rosehill Race 7 – Grey Lion

This 9yo grey looks to be going great guns. He roared home over an unsuitable distance in the Doncaster Prelude before getting back and rattling home in the G3 JRA Plate at the conclusion of the Sydney carnival after be inconvenienced at the 250m and having the rider weigh in half a kilo over.

Timing looks perfect here 3rd up of this distance and the $9 on offer looks good value.

Rosehill Race 8 – Ellsberg

Ellsberg is a rising 3yo from the Ryan & Alexiou yard that looks a class above his rivals. He was dominant winning a Listed race 1st up before finishing just behind them in the Hawkesbury Guineas last start.

This looks an easier assignment than what he has faced this time in and is well treated at the weights with only 55.5kg.
