Best Of The Best – Our 3 Best Bets For Saturday 7/11

As the Spring carnival winds down we look at both Rosehill and Flemington to find a few winners. The Golden Gift and Hot Danish Stakes headline Rosehill and the some of the nation’s top sprinters line up in the Darley Sprint Classic at Flemington.

Rosehill Race 6 – Mura Mura

It’s always tough finding a winner in these early 2yo races but there appears to be a bit of hype around this Snowden filly. She was heavily backed in her first start in the Kirkham Plate where she sat 3 wide with no cover the whole trip and still battled on gallantly the finish a length back in third. If she can secure a good run here she should give a good shout.

Tip: Mura Mura 1 unit win @ $7.5 With TopSport

Rosehill Race 7 – Positive Peace

Positive Peace returned to form last start winning The Nivision at Randwick and he has a few things in his favour here. Firstly, he has a record of stringing wins together, notably last prep where he won 5 straight! His record on wet tracks speaks for itself (12:5-2-0) and at Rosehill (6:3-0-0).

Probably most importantly the 1400m looks to be his pet distance, which is something he may have over a lot of his main rivals here (7:5-0-0). He defeated Sweet Deal, Evalina, Jen Rules, Wandabba and Tricky Gal last start and meets alL of those horses better at the weights without the penalty conditions. Looks a decent bet if he can get an easy time in front.

Tip: Positive Peace 2 units win @ $4.6 With TopSport

Flemington Race 6 – Bivouac

Bivouac is the horse at the peak of his powers here. He was sensational coming from back in the field finishing 2nd to Classique Legend in The Everest. He has a great record down the straight, maps to get a great run and should be jumping out of the ground late to prove himself as one of the countries top sprinters.

Tip Bivouac 2 units win @ $3.4 With TopSport
