Richmond Tigers vs Geelong Cats
A battle of the felines looms as a toey prospect at the G on Friday night. The Tigers were nothing short of spectacular in their win over Collingwood last week. They have been finishing games faster than a schoolboy on formal night, winning 14 of 18 final terms this season.
After solid wins against Brisbane and Melbourne Geelong have sparked life into their season. Selwood, Ablett, Dangerfield and Duncan form a midfield that is every bit as strong as Richmond’s. Full forward Tom Hawkins is in arguably career best form.
The Tigers lightning quick small forward line has been terrorising opposition with their defensive pressure. Rookie Jack Higgins put forward a late contender for goal of the year last week (pictured) and his recent form, combined with that of Costagna, Short, Caddy and Rioli, suggests Richmond may have a few more weapons in their forward line.
