6 Times YouTubers Defeated “Real” Boxers

Crossover boxing has produced some ridiculous nights, but every so often the YouTuber actually walks out with the win over a real fighter.

Andrew Tate had a 76-9-1 kickboxing record and hadn’t lost a professional bout since 2022. Sportsbooks covered on the LiveSportsOdds platform all had him as the favorite to make quick work of Chase DeMoor, a reality TV star with a 14-4 record built almost entirely against fellow influencers. Tate never got the finish. He got outworked over six rounds and left Dubai with his face busted up, and the odds boards never saw it coming.

That’s the thing about influencer boxing. Every now and then the guy with no amateur pedigree finds a way to beat someone who’s actually meant to know what they’re doing in there. Here are seven times it happened.

Jake Paul beats Mike Tyson

November 15, 2024, Arlington, Texas. Jake Paul won a lopsided unanimous decision over a 58-year-old Mike Tyson in a bout that was sanctioned as a professional fight under Texas commission rules. Tyson looked like Tyson for maybe thirty seconds in the first round and nothing after that. Paul was actually the betting favorite here given the four-decade age gap, but it’s still a heavyweight legend’s name on the loss column.

Jake Paul beats Julio César Chávez Jr.

Seven months later, Paul took a much tougher assignment and still won just as clean. He controlled the June 2025 fight at Honda Center from range for eight rounds, and even though Chávez Jr. rallied late, all three judges had it comfortably for Paul (99-91, 98-92, 97-93). Chávez is a former WBC middleweight world champion. That’s not a name you get to tick off by accident.

Chase DeMoor beats Andrew Tate

The fight referenced up top deserves its own line. DeMoor, Misfits Boxing’s heavyweight champion and a Too Hot to Handle alum, was written off by pretty much everyone before Tate’s professional boxing debut in December 2025. He won anyway, via majority decision, and Tate’s kickboxing résumé did nothing to stop it.

KSI beats Luis Alcaraz Pineda

Back in August 2022, KSI fought twice in one night at the O2 Arena, and the second bout is the one that matters here. Pineda came in with a professional record of 2-5, but he was still a licensed pro, which makes him the only actual boxer KSI has ever beaten. KSI dropped him repeatedly across three rounds before the referee had seen enough.

Bryce Hall beats Gee Perez at BKFC 48

Bryce Hall walked into his bare-knuckle debut against a fighter who’d gone 3-0 in the promotion. Didn’t matter. Hall dropped Perez in the opening round, kept the pressure on, and the fight was waved off in round two after Perez picked up an elbow injury he couldn’t fight through. Bare-knuckle debut, first win, over a guy with actual BKFC experience.

Honourable mention: Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

This one doesn’t make the list proper because nobody actually won it. The June 2021 exhibition in Miami had no judges and no official result, just eight rounds of Mayweather toying with a much bigger opponent without ever finding the finish. Still, it’s worth a mention for how it set the tone for Mayweather’s career since, one that’s since drifted into all sorts of novelty fights against non-boxers, with talk resurfacing that he could even end up sharing a ring with UFC’s Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Sporting Base covered that saga in detail here.
