The full 2027 AFL fixture is out, and Sydney are the big winners in primetime, while St Kilda are the only club without a Thursday or Friday night game in the first 16 rounds.
The AFL released the complete 2027 Toyota AFL Premiership Season fixture on Thursday, AFL.com.au reported, with the Swans scheduled for nine Thursday or Friday night games in the first 16 rounds.
Brisbane and Fremantle get eight primetime games each, Adelaide and Hawthorn seven, and Collingwood and Geelong six. Sydney also open the season in a standalone Wednesday night match against Geelong at the SCG on 17 March.
Sunday night shift and Friday double headers
A Sunday night game, starting after 6pm on the east coast, will feature in each of the first 13 rounds to cut down on overlapping games on Sunday afternoons. Friday night double headers are also back, including several non-Victorian derbies.
The Grand Final rematch between Fremantle and Brisbane at Optus Stadium will close round eight, with a 7.20pm start on the east coast.

Toughest draws
Based on the 2026 finishing positions of the teams each club plays twice, Brisbane have the hardest draw and Richmond the easiest, according to AFL.com.au. Hawthorn, Geelong and Fremantle round out the four hardest.
Gold Coast will play in Darwin just once, against Carlton to close round 10. Rounds 17 to 24 are a floating fixture, with those match times to be locked in later in the season.
