In the 21st of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Minnesota Vikings.
Key Off Season Acquisition
The most notable new Minnesota Viking player is wide receiver Jauan Jennings of Cowan, Tennessee. Jennings signed a one-year contract worth $8 million on May 8 according to Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports. As part of the contract, Jennings can earn up to $13 million as he can earn $5 million in incentives.
Jennings is joining his second NFL franchise. He played the last five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. In 2025, Jennings had 55 catches for 643 receiving yards and a career-high nine touchdown catches. Jennings’s most memorable game came on December 14. He found the end zone twice on touchdown catches of four and 13 yards from quarterback Brock Purdy in a 37-24 49ers win over the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Stars
Justin Jefferson of St. Rose, Louisiana is sixth in fantasy football among wide receivers. In 2026, he had 84 catches for 1048 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Jefferson’s two touchdown catches came in two 27-24 Vikings wins. The first came over Chicago on September 8 and the second came over Detroit on November 2.
Will Reichard of Hoover, Alabama is seventh among kickers. Reichard, who has the advantage of kicking in an indoor stadium despite playing professional football in a city with a cold winter, made 33 of 35 field goal attempts and all 31 of his converts.
Projected Finish
Anyway you look at it, the Vikings are the weakest team in the NFC North. J.J. McCarthy is the worst quarterback in the division, and it is not even remotely close.
