In the sixth of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Chicago Bears.
Key Off Season Acquisitions
The Chicago Bears added two key defensive players in the offseason in safety Coby Bryant of Cleveland, Ohio, and Canadian defensive tackle Neville Gallimore of Ottawa, Ontario. On March 11, Bryant signed a three-year contract worth $40 million and Gallimore signed a two-year contract worth $12 million. Bryant was the highest paid safety in NFL free agency in the offseason, but will miss the first month of the season with a knee injury.
In 2026, Bryant had 66 combined tackles (39 solo tackles and 27 assisted tackles), four tackles for a loss, four interceptions for 43 yards, seven pass deflections and one forced fumble with the Seattle Seahawks. He was also on the Seahawks team that won the Super Bowl.
Gallimore is joining his fourth National Football League franchise. He has previously played four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys (2020 to 2023), and one season each with the Los Angeles Rams (2024) and Indianapolis Colts (2025).In 2025, Gallimore had 38 combined tackles (18 solo tackles and 20 assisted tackles), six quarterback hits, four tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks and three pass deflections.
The New England Patriots traded center Garrett Bradbury of Charlotte, North Carolina to the Chicago Bears for a fifth round pick in 2027 on March 11. The Bears are Bradbury’s third NFL team following six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and one season with the Patriots.
Fantasy Stars
Colston Loveland of Goldendale, Washington is ranked fourth in the NFL among tight ends. Last year the University of Michigan product had 58 catches for 713 receiving yards and six touchdown catches. Loveland also set the NFL playoff record for most receiving yards by a rookie tight end (193).
Caleb Williams of Washington, D.C. is ranked 10th among quarterbacks. Last year he completed 330 passes in 568 attempts for 3942 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Williams also had 77 rushes for 388 rushing yards and his first three NFL rushing touchdowns in his career.
Cairo Santos of Sao Paulo, Brazil is ranked 10th among kickers. Last year he made 25 of 30 field goal attempts and all 39 converts.
Projected Finish
The Bears made huge strides last season with head coach Ben Johnson in charge. They went from five wins in 2024 to 11 wins and a division title in 2025. Chicago will once again be playing in a challenging NFC North. There is a general feeling that the Lions will not underachieve for a second straight year, and the Packers will be better if Micah Parsons is healthy. Right now the projection is a third place finish in the NFC North for the Bears.
