In the third of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Baltimore Ravens.
Key Off-Season Acquisitions
There are four new Ravens this season who should have a significant impact to their team. They are defensive end Trey Hendrickson of Orlando, Florida, guard John Simpson of North Charleston, South Carolina, safety Jaylinn Hawkins of Buena Park, California, and defensive lineman Calais Campbell of Denver, Colorado.
Hendrickson came to the Ravens because their trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for Maxx Crosby fell through. He signed a four-year contract worth $112 million on March 12, meaning he will make $28 million per year. Hendrickson is joining his third National Football League franchise. He previously played four seasons with the New Orleans Saints from 2017 to 2020, and the last five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. A four-time Pro Bowler, Hendrickson led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024. This past season, he had had 16 combined tackles (11 solo tackles and five assisted tackles), three tackles for a loss, eight quarterback hits, four sacks, one pass deflection and one forced fumble. The pass deflection came in a 31-27 Bengals win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 14. Hendrickson missed 10 games with injuries to his hip and pelvis.
Simpson signed a three-year deal worth $30 million on March 12. He is returning to the Ravens after playing there in 2023. Simpson also spent three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders (2020 to 2022) and two seasons with the New York Jets (2024 and 2025).
Hawkins signed a two-year contract worth $10 million on March 11. He is joining his fourth NFL franchise after four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2020 to 2023), one season with the Los Angeles Chargers (2023), and two seasons with the New England Patriots (2024 to 2025). Last season with the Patriots, Hawkins had 71 combined tackles (45 solo tackles and 26 assisted tackles), three tackles for a loss, five quarterback hits, four interceptions for one yard, six pass deflections, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 1.5 sacks. The fumble recovery came in a 23-20 Patriots win over the Buffalo Bills on October 5. The forced fumble came in a 28-24 Patriots win over the Baltimore Ravens on December 21.
Campbell signed a one-year contract worth $5.5 million on April 30. Campbell is returning to the Ravens after playing there from 2020 to 2022. He also played a decade with the Arizona Cardinals (2008 to 2016 and 2025), three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2017 to 2019) and one season each with the Atlanta Falcons (2023), and Miami Dolphins (2024). This past season in Arizona, the six-time Pro Bowler had 43 combined tackles (23 solo tackles and 20 assisted tackles), nine tackles for a loss, 16 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks and two pass deflections.
The Ravens also have a new coach this season as Jesse Minter of Little Rock, Arkansas replaces John Harbaugh. Minter was recently the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Stars
Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson of Pompano Beach, Florida is seventh among quarterbacks in fantasy. Last year he completed 192 passes in 302 attempts for 2549 passing yards, with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jackson added 67 rushes for 349 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Ravens running back Derrick Henry of Yules, Florida is 10th among running backs in fantasy. Last year he had 307 rushes for 1595 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns, along with 15 catches for 150 yards receiving. Zay Flowers of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is 10th among wide receivers. Last season he had 86 catches for 1211 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Mark Andrews of Scottsdale, Arizona is ninth in fantasy among tight ends. Last season he had 48 catches for 422 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Tyler Loop is fifth among kickers in fantasy. Last season he made 30 of 34 field goals and 44 of 46 converts as a rookie.
Projected Finish
These aren’t your grandfather’s Baltimore Ravens. This team had an elite offense and a mediocre defense in 2025. The additions of Campbell, Hendrickson, Minter and Hawkins should help. A playoff spot is a foregone conclusion and Baltimore should win the NFC North. Is this Ravens team good enough to get by Buffalo and Denver to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl? That is the real question at this time.
