2024 NFL Week 3 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

We have started the season on fire. Two big weeks have set us up for the rest of the season and we will look to continue that here in week three.

I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.

Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints

There can be no doubt that the Saints have started the season on fire. But I think the Eagles have perhaps been better than some believe and they can go into New Orleans and cause an upset.

As well as the Saints have played, it is hard to believe they will continue on this trajectory, and backing against a team when they are at their highest in terms of public opinion is always going to be a winner long term. The Eagles are a good, solid team and I do not think we will see the sort of game Dallas served up last week for Derek Carr and co.

Carolina Panthers @ Las Vegas Raiders

The Panthers have made a change at quarterback. Andy Dalton will come in and bring a veteran presence to a team that has just look lost. I think it can be a big boost to them and I expect to see a lot more from the offence as a whole.

I think there could well be plenty of points in this one and the Panthers can cause an upset, even on the road. The Raiders defence has been superb so far, particularly up front. But Dalton can use his experience to limit the damage they can do.

Detroit Lions @ Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have played some fantastic football so far. They could easily be 2-0 right now. Marvin Harrison started slow in week one but went crazy in week two. He very much announced his arrival in the NFL.

The Lions have been a little underwhelming so far, and were a team I was a little lower on than the general consensus coming into the season.

Arizona have maybe struggled to finish teams off over the past year, but they seem to be getting better and better and I think they can get a big upset win here.

Seattle Seahawks @Miami Dolphins

With Tua Tagovailoa on the sidelines with a concussion, Skylar Thompson will be in at quarterback and heading into Seattle will be a tough task. He has not started a game since 2022, and did not exactly light it up when he played in those games. Players like Tyreek Hill may be able to lift him up, but personally I would be avoiding them in DFS as much as possible.

The Seahawks have started strong, and will be delighted to get this version of the Dolphins coming to town. They can carry on and get out to a 3-0 start that will set them up strongly for the rest of the season.
