Midweek Sydney racing takes place at Kensington on Wednesday. Our analyst likes a provincial sprinter coming off a big Gosford win before an impressive trial effort and a Waller mare that looks very well placed 2nd up.

Best Selection: R4 Charlina
Charlina looks way underestimated by the market. She was sensational recording a 2L win over 1000m at Gosford last start before returning from a 6-week freshen with a 3L Rosehill trial win in slick time. It’s always an advantage to find proper 1000m types in these races. She rolls forward and should be right in the finish.
Value Selection: R5 – Concordia Wind
The Waller mare resumed over 1250m at Canterbury on the back of a nice Rosehill trial and really caught the eye. She settled last from the outside gate and had become detached from the field after the first furlong. She took an inside run in inferior going at the top of the straight and was still 4-5L off with 200m to go. She caught the eye jumping out of the ground the final 100m and only just missed on the line to finish 0.2L 3rd. The step up to 1400m 2nd up looks like a fantastic set up. Her stablemate looks the main danger but the gate and Nash booking look favourable.
