EPL – Week 3 Preview

We’re now heading into the third week of the EPL season and with some quality matches to take place we thought we’d provide our preview and key insights.

Wolves V Manchester City – Saturday 25th of August,12:30pm, Molineux Stadium

Manchester City has started the season in sensational form after defeating Arsenal 2-0 then Huddersfield 6-1 and will be looking to continue that form into this match.

Meanwhile, Wolves are yet to notch their first win for the season and after a 2-0 loss to Leicester City it seems their defence is a key issue. It is something they’ll want to fix quickly as Manchester City have no problems finding the back of the net.

Some key insights for the match are:

  • Manchester City have won five of their last six EPL matches against Wolverhampton.
  • The ‘Over 3.5 Goals’ market has hit in seven of Manchster City’s last 10 EPL matches.
  • Gabriel Jesus has scored a goal in four of Manchester City’s last five away matches.

Tip: Manchester City -2.0 @ $2.88   Multi Tip: Gabriel Jesus anytime scorer + Over 2.5 goals @ $2.50

Arsenal V West Ham United – Saturday 25th of August, 3:00pm, Emirates Stadium

It is the first time since the 92/93 season that Arsenal have started the season with two loses. Although, they haven’t had the easiest start with Man City and Chelsea as their opponents. Unai Emery, Arsenal’s new manager, has his best chance yet to get his first win with the club here at home.

Meanwhile, West Ham hasn’t had the best start to the season also with two loses. It looks as if defence is a key issue for them, having conceded six goals in the first two games.

Some key insights are:

  • Arsenal has won 14 of its last 17 matches against West Ham.
  • The ‘Both Teams To Score’ market has hit in eight of West Ham’s last 10 EPL away matches.
  • The ‘Over 4.5 goals’ market has hit in three of Arsenal’s last four EPL home matches.

Tip: Arsenal -1.0 @ $1.91  Multi Tip: Over 2.5 goals + Aubameyang anytime scorer + Arsenal -1.0 @ $3.40

Southampton V Leicester City – Saturday 25th of August, 3:00pm, St. Mary’s

After putting their first three points on the board last week Leicester City will be looking to make it six this week and with James Maddison scoring his first goal for the club last week they look likely to do so.

Southampton, on the other hand, are yet to register their first victory for the season with a loss to Everton (2-1) and a draw with Burnley FC (0-0). This looks to be another tough assignment for them.

Some key insights are:

  • Leicester City has lost just one of its last seven EPL matches against Southampton.
  • The ‘Both Teams To Score’ market has failed to hit in five of the last six EPL day matches between Southampton and Leicester.
  • The ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in seven of the last nine EPL matches at St. Mary’s.

Tip: Leicester @ $3.10  Multi: Leicester + Under 2.5 goals @ $5.75

Bournemouth V Everton – Saturday 25th of August, 3:00pm, Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth are unbeaten after the first two games of the season with victories over Cardiff City (2-0) and West Ham United (2-1) but this looks to be their biggest test so far.

Everton has responded well to the appointment of new manager Marco Silva with a draw when facing the Wolves (2-2) and a victory over Southampton (2-1).

Some key insights are:

  • The home team’s won each of its last five EPL matches between Bournemouth and Everton.
  • The ‘Both Teams To Score’ market has hit in 16 of Bournemouth’s last 18 EPL day matches.
  • Callum Wilson has scored a goal in each of Bournemouth’s last three EPL matches.

Tip: Bournemouth @ $2.60  Multi Tip: Bournemouth + Callum Wilson anytime scorer @ $4.75

Huddersfield V Cardiff City – Saturday 25th of August, 3;00pm, John Smith’s Stadium

Both teams are without a win after the first two weeks of the season and after convincing loses to Manchester City and Chelsea Huddersfield will be looking to bounce back here.

Meanwhile, Cardiff City look to be closing in on their first win of the season following a draw with Newcastle last week.

Some key insights are:

  • Cardiff has won each of its last four league matches against Huddersfield.
  • The ‘Both Teams To Score’ market has failed to hit in each of Huddersfield’s last six EPL home matches.

Tip: Draw @ $2.88

Liverpool V Brighton – Saturday 25th of August, 5:30pm, Anfield

Brighton will be full of confidence heading into this after defeating Manchester United last week and will quickly gain the tag of ‘Giant Killers’ if they can topple the in-form Liverpool side here. Liverpool have shown they will be a dominant force this year with convincing victories over West Ham (4-0) and Crystal Palace (2-0).

Some key insights are:

  • Liverpool has won six of its last seven EPL home matches.
  • Across all competitions, Salah has been the first goal-scorer in six of his last eight games at Anfield.

Tip: Liverpool -2.0  Multi Tip: Liverpool -2.0 + Mohammed Salah first goal-scorer @ $7

Watford V Crystal Palace – Sunday 26th of August, 1:30pm, Vicarage Road

Watford have started the season in fine fashion with two victories and have a great chance to make it three here back on home turf. Crystal Palace were brave in defeat against Liverpool last week and can take some confidence out of that game and look to improve with an easier assignment here.

Some key insights are:

  • Watford have lost once in their last nine EPL matches at Vicarage Road.
  • Crystal Palace have won three of the last six match-ups against Watford.

Tip: Watford @ $2.50  Multi: Watford + Under 2.5 goals @ $4.75

Fulham V Burnley – Sunday 26th of August, 4:00pm, Craven Cottage

Both teams are looking for their first win of the season here and it seems they both have the same problem and that is scoring goals. With a combined two goals from the first two games these two teams will have to find a way to put the ball in the back of the net.

Some key insights are:

  • Fulham have only defeated Burnley on one occasion across all competitions (D2 L5).
  • Both teams have an ‘Average Goals For’ average of 0.5.

Tip: Fulham @ $1.91  Multi Tip: Fulham + Under 2.5 goals @ $3.75

Newcastle V Chelsea – Sunday 26th of August, 4:00pm, St James’ Park

Chelsea has come out firing this season with two wins from as many games and will look to continue that good form here and with Newcastle struggling to find form they look a good chance of doing so.

Some key insights are:

  • Newcastle have won four of their last five EPL home matches against Chelsea.
  • The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in Chelsea’s first two games this season.

Tip: Chelsea -1.0 @ $ 2.80  Multi Tip: Chelsea -1.0 + Over 2.5 goals @ $4

Manchester United V Tottenham – Tuesday 27th of August, 8:00pm, Old Trafford

After a shock loss to Brighton last week Manchester will be looking gain back the respect with a win at home here. It will be no easy feat with Tottenham undefeated in its first two games this season.

  • Manchester United have won 21 of their 26 EPL home matches against the Spurs (D3 L2).
  • Average total match goals: Man U 4.0 / Tottenham 3.5.
