EPL Week 30 Preview: Stats, Insights, Tips & Everything You Need To Know About Your Team’s Chances

EPL Week 30 Preview: Stats, Insights, Tips & Everything You Need To Know About Your Team’s Chances

We had a big week last round, selecting eight winners from ten games. With only nine rounds remaining the title race is certainly on and we’ve got everything you need to know about every game this round and your team’s chances.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION – SATURDAY 9 MARCH, 12:30PM, SELHURST PARK

Brighton can feel the chasing pack breathing on their shoulders as they try to keep some distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

After picking up their first win in over two months last week, they have a chance to win back to back games for the first time since early December against a Palace side that has three wins from its last five.

Brighton’s last set of back to back Premier League wins included a home win over Palace back in December. Since them though, Brighton have been in pretty poor form while Palace has lost just one of its last six in the Premier Leagueare so the play for this game is backing against Brighton more than anything else.

Did You Know?

Palace

Crystal Palace have lost just one of their last nine home meetings with Brighton in all competitions, having gone down 1-0 in October 2005 in the Championship.

Brighton

Brighton’s Glenn Murray has scored in his last three appearances against Palace in all competitions.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in eight of Crystal Palace’s last nine EPL day matches as a home favourite.
  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has failed to hit in five of Brighton’s last six EPL day matches.
  • Michy Batshuayi has scored a goal in two of Crystal Palace’s last three EPL matches.

TIP: DRAW

CARDIFF VS WEST HAM – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 3:00PM, CARDIFF CITY STADIUM

Three-consecutive losses are the tale of the tape for the Bluebirds again and an immediate return to the Championship is looking more and more likely. They are still less than a win below Southampton and safety, but it’s tough seeing where they’re going to get the necessary wins. Enter West Ham, another club that is more up and down than a new bride’s nighty and who surely will not frank last week’s win over Newcastle here.

Did You Know?

Cardiff

Cardiff have scored a league-high 72 per cent of their Premier League goals after half-time this season, with 18 out of 25.

West Ham

West Ham have won all three of their PL meetings with Cardiff by a two-goal margin, most recently triumphing 3-1 in December’s reverse fixture.

Betting Insights

  • Cardiff has conceded at least three goals in four of its last five EPL matches as a home underdog.
  • The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in nine of West Ham’s last 10 EPL away matches against promoted teams.
  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has hit in seven of West Ham’s last nine EPL matches as an away favourite.

TIP: West Ham

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN VS BOURNEMOUTH – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 3:00PM, JOHN SMITH’S STADIUM

Huddersfield Town are looking for a second victory in three matches as they bid to move off the foot of the table.

AFC Bournemouth are aiming to avoid a third successive defeat and a fifth in six matches.

Did You Know?

Huddersfield

The last three league meetings between Huddersfield and AFC Bournemouth at the John Smith’s Stadium have produced a total of 15 goals, with the Terriers winning 5-1 in 2013, 4-1 in 2018 and losing 4-0 in 2014.

Bournemouth

Callum Wilson has scored six goals in five league appearances for AFC Bournemouth against the Yorkshire side, including four in three PL matches.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has failed to hit in eight of Huddersfield’s last nine EPL matches as an underdog.
  • The ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in four of Bournemouth’s last five EPL day matches.
  • Huddersfield has scored at least one goal in seven of its last 10 EPL home matches.

TIP: Bournemouth

LEICESTER CITY VS FULHAM – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 3:00PM, KING POWER STADIUM

Leicester City have been anything but good since Christmas but in a stroke of luck, they strike an even worse team on Saturday night. Fulham are on the straight and narrow towards the Championship and they simply need to win matches to stay afloat, which is something I just do not think that they can do. Last week’s performance against Chelsea actually wasn’t all bad, but they still took absolutely nothing for their troubles, and they’ve been pretty bloody bad on the road.

Did You Know?

Leicester

Leicester are looking to win consecutive home league matches within the same season for the first time since January 2018.

Fulham

Fulham are unbeaten in their five PL matches against Leicester and have conceded just once in those contests.

Betting Insights

  • The favourite has won each of Fulham’s last 10 EPL matches.
  • The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Leicester’s last four EPL matches as a favourite.
  • Jamie Vardy has scored a goal in three of Leicester’s last four EPL matches.

TIP: Leicester

NEWCASTLE VS EVERTON – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 3:00PM, ST JAMES’ PARK

The Toffees have probably single-handedly ruined Liverpool’s chances of winning the league, so it’s job done and they can now afford to go to sleep. A draw was all that they needed, and they did it. Scenes. Typically, Newcastle couldn’t be trusted to get the job done when they played West Ham last week. They win when they shouldn’t, lose when they shouldn’t and are generally terrible to watch. By that reasoning, they’ll be winning this.

Did You Know

Newcastle

January signing Miguel Almiron is creating three chances per 90 minutes on average for his team-mates, more than any other Newcastle player.

Everton

Everton have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League meetings with Newcastle, with that defeat coming in December 2014.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Newcastle United’s last five EPL matches.
  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has failed to hit in each of Everton’s last four EPL matches.
  • Gylfi Sigurdsson has scored three goals in Everton’s last four EPL away matches.

TIP: Everton

SOUTHAMPTON VS TOTTENHAM – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 3:00PM, ST MARY’S STADIUM

Third-placed Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a first victory in four Premier League matches as they visit Southampton, who are targeting a second win in three outings and a bigger cushion above the relegation zone.

Did You Know?

Southampton

Southampton are aiming for their first PL home win over Spurs since their return to the top flight in 2012.

Tottenham

Harry Kane has scored in his last four PL meetings with Southampton, netting six goals. That includes goals in his last three matches at St Mary’s.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has hit in each of the last six EPL matches between Southampton and Tottenham.
  • The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Southampton’s last five EPL matches as a home underdog.
  • Across all competitions, Harry Kane has scored 10 goals in his last 11 appearances.

TIP: Tottenham

MANCHESTER CITY VS WATFORD – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 5:30PM, ETIHAD STADIUM

Eight wins from their last nine including four in a row has City back on top of the table and destination of the Premier League title in their hands.

All they have to do is match Liverpool’s results over the next nine rounds and they will claim back to back Premier League titles, becoming the first team to do so since United did so in 2007/2008 and 2008/2009.

Up next on their list of challengers is a Watford side with three wins from their last four games and currently sitting in eighth place.

Did You Know?

City

Man City have never lost a PL match against Watford and have won the last seven in a row by an aggregate score of 22-3.

Watford

Watford have won three of their last four PL matches, as many as they had in their previous 15.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has hit in seven of Watford’s last eight EPL night matches.
  • The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Watford’s last eight EPL night matches.
  • Sergio Aguero has been the first goal-scorer in three of his last four EPL starting appearances at the Etihad.

TIP: City

LIVERPOOL VS BURNLEY – SUNDAY 10 MARCH, 12:00PM, ANFIELD

Liverpool are aiming to return to winning ways and reclaim top spot after their stalemate with Everton, while Burnley are seeking to avoid a third straight defeat.

Did You Know?

Liverpool

Liverpool have won nine of their last 11 home matches against Burnley in all competitions, drawing the other two, since a 1-0 loss in September 1974.

Burnley

Burnley’s last nine PL goals have been scored by Ashley Barnes, with five, or by Chris Wood. Barnes is one away from becoming only the fourth Clarets player to reach double figures for goals in a PL season.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Liverpool’s last six EPL Week 30 day matches.
  • Sadio Mane has been the first goal-scorer in each of Liverpool’s last three EPL home matches.
  • Liverpool has kept a clean sheet in five of its last six EPL day matches.

TIP: Liverpool

CHELSEA VS WOLVERHAMPTON – MONDAY 11 MARCH, 2:05PM, STAMFORD BRIDGE

Wolves picked up a massive upset over Chelsea back in December and the Blues will be out to avoid a repeat of that effort at Stamford Bridge.

They will need to find a way to keep improving on their last two performances beating Tottenham and Fulham as Wolves will see a vulnerable opponent as a great chance for an upset.

Of course, Chelsea has only lost a grand total of one game at home this season so any upset would be highly unlikely here.

Did You Know?

Chelsea

Chelsea have won all four of their PL home matches against Wolves, scoring 14 goals and conceding just two.

Wolves

Wolves can become the first promoted team to do the PL double over Chelsea since Charlton Athletic in 2000/01.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has failed to hit in seven of Chelsea’s last eight EPL home matches.
  • The ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Wolverhampton’s last four EPL matches.
  • Gonzalo Higuain has scored three goals in Chelsea’s last three EPL matches as a favourite.

TIP: Chelsea

ARSENAL VS MANCHESTER UNITED SUNDAY 11 MARCH, 4:30PM, EMIRATES STADIUM

United have the maximum available rest time before travelling to London to face Arsenal in the final match of the week and thankfully for them, the Gunners will be coming back from a Europa League clash in France with 24 hours less rest.

United has won their last two trips to the Emirates by a score of 3-1 including an FA Cup Fourth Round clash back in late January.

In the Premier League though, Manchester City has been the only visiting team to take maximum points from the Emirates Stadium.

Did You Know?

Arsenal

Alexandre Lacazette can become only the second Arsenal player to score in six consecutive PL home matches, after Thierry Henry, and the first at Emirates Stadium.

United

Paul Pogba has missed three PL penalties this season and could become the first to miss four in a campaign.

Betting Insights

  • The ‘Both Teams to Score in the Second Half’ market has hit in five of the last six EPL matches between Arsenal and Manchester United.
  • The ‘Over 3.5 Goals’ market has hit in four of Manchester United’s last five EPL matches as an away underdog.
  • Across all competitions, Romelu Lukaku has scored two goals in each of his last three appearances.

TIP: United
