The Plunge’s Trial Review: Horses You Must Follow From Last Week’s Trials 24/4

Two Snowden runners made my black book at the Randwick trials this week. One a 3yo that has been working through the provincial grades and looks ready to step up to the city grades and and unraced 2yo that now has 3 dominant trial wins under her belt. Click below to read more.

Falcon is a lightly raced 3yo with an impressive record of 4:1-2-1 all of which have been at the provincials and midweeks. He looks ready to take the next step after an impressive trial win at Randwick where he settled off the speed and blew his rivals away to win by 2.8L

When To Bet

If he resumes at the provincials he will likely be short odds. I would like to see him in a low benchmark race at the midweeks where we may get some value.

Satin Ribbons

Satin Ribbons is an unraced 2yo that the Snowdens continue to educate through barrier trials. Before today she had 2 dominant trial wins under her belt from as many outings. Many were looking forward to seeing her step out again and none were disappointed.

She flew the gates and led easily in her 740m trial and gave nothing a chance. Blowing them away up the straight to win by 5L in a slick time.

When To Bet

It’ll be interesting where the Snowdens target her for her first race as she still races a little greenly. They may target black type first up.
